Easy Homemade Waffle Recipe

Winter arrived here this weekend….and I loved it! I’m weird like that I guess….I like to get all bundled up and go out for a walk…when it’s zero outside. I wouldn’t be happy living in a place that doesn’t have a winter….mind you by the end of February….I am ready for Spring…but I do love a really cold frosty day. Hubs bought me a new parka for Christmas….highly recommend this one from Eddie Bauer if you are looking for one. He bought me a NorthFace…but I ended up taking it back for this one…I liked the style of it a bit more…and just a warm. Here is a warm and toasty homemade waffle to make on these bitter cold mornings….super easy…promise:)

Friends…family…folks….step away from the bisquick. You do NOT need it!! It is filled with not-so-great stuff and making your own waffle or pancake mix takes like 2 seconds…seriously and for real. I know that my dad is now throwing things at his computer because I was basically raised on Bisquick….it’s fine in a pinch….but this recipe makes a light, airy and preservative FREE waffle…yummo! Sorry dad…this is better!!!

I mix the dry ingredients the night before to make the morning a bit easier but you don’t have to. The ingredients are simple and I would bet you have them in your pantry right now…easy peasy:)

This recipe will make about 20 “eggo” size waffles…plenty to go around:)
