Have you ever been upstairs and all of a sudden your kids start screaming…”Mom–Mom–MOM–hurry come look—see that, I want that for Christmas!!!! Really bad MOM!” That is how I came up with this little craft…
I had this left over Peanut can….hated to just toss it—seems like it could be used for something. ( I can see you Patti, rolling your eyes—thinkin “here she goes again…” I am laughing out loud as I type.)
Well, your right girl…this is what I came up with ….a Christmas Wish Can
You will need:
Start by spraying half of the can with a light coat of adhesive. Lining up the fabric with the bottom–making sure it will sit even when standing up-right.
Continue all the way around. I cut my fabric with pinking shears–just makes it more finished and cute I think.
With a little dab of hot glue…secure your ribbon on the center of the can.
Also with a little hot glue…secure your little pompom trim on the top. I also printed a label on my computer and cut it with pinking shears. Placed it on the front of the ribbon.
Now—everytime the kiddos see something on tv—or think of a sweet little wish (doesn’t have to be anything material either–could just be “I wish for good health in the new year…”) they can go over to the wish can and drop in a note. Just place a little note pad and pens next to it :)

I found you off of tatertots and jello, and this is such a good idea. I am already thinking of exactly which child of mine this would help.
What a sweet idea! And the pompoms make it adorable. I love to read about mothers who take the time to make their children feel they are important.
Such a fun idea! Love the fabric choice!
It turned out cute and I'm sure the kids love being able to put their wishes in there! What a great idea.
That is a quick and easy suggestion. Thanks
Adorable!! I'm your newest follower! :)
