Personal Notes

wasn’t that awesome

Remember that day….when you were sitting enjoying your morning coffee and looking at at the schedule for the day…and then water starting pouring out of the dishwasher….so you called the repair man that had just been there 3 weeks prior to fix the dishwasher…and he proceeded to tell you that the dishwasher door needed to be replaced so he suggest just buying a new dishwasher….And then a couple hours later when you went to do some laundry and you turn the dryer on and it sounds like the house was going to take off into flight and then it just died (the first wedding gift you ever received back in 1996…)…so then you started to get paranoid to even open the fridge because it has been humming for about 5 months….and then the next day when you wake up to another annoying butt-hot September day…after you get kind of annoyed that you can’t put on your favorite jeans and boots… you go about your work and you notice yourself starting to sweat…so you think…golly, I really need to start walking or something if just typing up this blog post is making me this sweaty….so you look at the thermostat and it is set for 70 but the air temp is 78…and you actually laugh at your thermostat…and then you start to wonder if you maybe are going delirious…or maybe you just need a drink…but it’s only 1:30…that’s never stopped you…but that was back in college and you are an adult now…at least you try to be…

it sucks being an adult somedays….
