I recently went on a fabulous girls weekend trip to Elk Creek Vineyard. It was only a touch over an hours drive from where I live (in Louisville, about an hour from Lexington and Cincinnati too)….but I felt like I was in a completely different part of the country.

 A lovely landscape to visit in the fall. The leaves were changing and the air was crisp!

 The winery has tastings and tours. We tried our hand at skeet shooting….none of us had every done that before. It was completely awesome….never thought I would do that and enjoy it…and I loved it.
(shot 3 out of 5 clays….so I am kind of a rock-star….whatever….)

 Lots of laughing….talking and catching up.

 6 women on a golf cart…we could have been our own reality show.

 We were there to celebrate my good friend Chris’s birthday (far left). Her hubs set it all up as a surprise…and he did such a good job! Just being there and sharing a bunch of laughs…among such beautiful grounds was like a birthday gift to all of us!
Can’t wait to go back someday!
Make your way there for an overnight…so worth it!!
