If you follow me on twitter…you saw that last week I perfected the ultimate duplicate of the McDonald’s biscuit. Oh yum! I know this may seem odd to you…but at the ripe age of 37 I have just recently discovered the yumminess of the McDonald’s biscuit. Yeap, I had never had one before this summer. A friend of mine said “well look at all those calories you’ve saved !!” But oh my…they are good. So I was out to search for a recipe that we could make at home….and this one is really easy and quite yummy :)

I mixed it all with my dough hook. If your not using a stand mixer just mix with a wooden spoon.

Roll it out…

Next time I will roll them a bit thicker….but this still worked.

Brush with melted butter when they are done baking.

Now where’s the sausage….

Ingredients
2C bisquick (I use the heart healthy one)
2/3 C buttermilk
2 teaspoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 T melted butter or margarine

Heat oven 450. Combine all ingredients except for only 1/2 of the melted butter (reserving the other half to spread on top of baked biscuits). I used my dough hook attachment to combine and knead for 30 seconds until elastic. Roll out dough on silpat or floured surface. Cut with a 3 inch biscuit cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake 11 minutes. Should be golden and double in height. Remove from oven and brush with butter. Heaven…;)
