We technically never really “open” the lakehouse…it is “open” all year. Actually, some of the prettiest days there are in the fall when the leaves change…very peaceful. However, we do like to do some spring clean-up in May to get ready for some summer fun.

Everything is so green—course we have had 500million rain days…just sayin..

We spent some time in the basement putting up a basketball goal. It is a benefit to a walk-out basement that has crazy tall ceilings…about 13 foot.

Boy needs to play ball 23 out of 24 hours in  a day…

Swept up all the leaves….

and got ready for Memorial Day fun!

The only thing I can grow seems to be these hostas…apparently they don’t mind shade!

My favorite place to sit with coffee and read….or just sleep :)

Lanterns are up and ready :)

The path to the lake is all wooded. Just a little ways to reach the water and the boat at our dock.

We took some time to have fun and play on the tree swing.

And play with fire….supervised of course.
“can I get a hotdog please…with my wine…”

I made these curtain hooks from a bunch of roping. I tied them up to a piece of driftwood. Very low cost—but chic right?!?!

We love this little spot at the lake :)
Here is another post I did about some of the inside….
