I told you yesterday that I will be participating in a weekly link up party with these other 7 fabulous  bloggers! I am very excited to be participating. It is such a fun way to be able to highlight some new bloggers and also a great way for readers to find new blogs to read. I came up with a few tips on getting featured on a link party.

When I started blogging back in 2010 I was featured on Tatertots & jello.  I ended up being featured on many other blogs because of that one feature. (Thanks Jen;) If you are a new blogger it is really one of the best ways to get your blog out there and be seen by new readers. Just a few suggestions on what to do to get featured on some of these bigger blogs.
One is (like I’m sure you’ve been told several other times) have perfect pictures. Most times people are reading so quickly that sometimes the pictures are the only way they really grasp what your tutorial is about. I think that for you to concentrate on getting your pictures up to speed….especially when you have really great project to share….is so worth your time. It is a shame when you have gone to all the work to put together a great blog post with a really great idea but then have average pictures….it’s an injustice for your blog.

Another suggestion would be to make it quick. Don’t be too wordy… just be concise and clear and what you’re sharing. Whether it is a recipe or a project or a craft make it quick and concise so that people can grasp the gist of what you made easily.

And the third thing I would suggest is to always be authentic. briefly tell people how you came up with what you did it connects them to you and it makes them want to come back again and see what else you’ve been up to.
So without further ado I would invite you to share the best and brightest of things that you’ve been working on. I cannot wait to see what you come up with and I will be sharing my favorites every week before the next party! Party starts at 6:00om eastern time every Thursday!
