Thanks for all your excitement and sweet encouraging words about our new adventure. We are so ready to get started enjoying this beach house! Some projects will have to wait….but others we are hoping to complete this year. We already had the kitchen wall opened up…so I will be sharing those pictures with you soon (pssst….I am there right now so if you catch me on instagram or facebook I am probably sharing pics over there:)
Another project that is at the top of our list is the outdoor shower. Since this house only has one full bath…the outdoor shower is essential..and we see it being used 9 months of the year. Carolina Beach has mild temps for the majority of the year. Here is some inspiration for what we are hoping to achieve with our outdoor shower….
To refresh your memory….our outdoor shower will be located on the backside of the storage unit that is under the house. We are envisioning pavers and pea gravel to stand on…and the plumbing to be on the wall that shares the storage space.

Here are some pictures to get an idea of what we are looking to build….
We love the idea of using wood…and having a bench and a large swinging door….
I think painting the whole thing with white outdoor paint will match the house nicely…
This blue door is so charming…and I love the lantern!
A shelf on the inside to hold shampoo and soap….
We are hoping to start on it soon….I promise to take pictures of the process. We have already built a shower outdoors at our lakehouse (below)….This one will be similar but with a little more coastal feel than cabin feel.

I also love this idea of framing vintage bathing suits….how cute would this be on a gallery wall!?!
I adore this color palette of white creamy walls with the denim blue curtains. So casual…
Some pretty storage and built in’s may be in the future too….something to hold books, baskets and lighting like these below…
Can’t wait to get started on it! Are you dreaming of a new project??
Have a great weekend….
xo
