big wreath for little money (DIY Christmas Wreath) (2)

Most of you probably already have your wreath out on your door….but I thought I would share this just incase (and you can really use this little trick all year long…with any old wreath:). I was in need of dressing two doors this year since we have the double doors now. I had a few strands of a heavy garland that I wanted to use outside rather than inside…it has a bunch of glitter on it and it seems to end up everywhere. So here is how I made my cheap $4 wreaths look a lot more expensive….

I bought a couple evergreen wreaths for $4 each. Fluff them really well by pulling all the leaves apart. I took a 4 foot heavy garland (this was left over from last year….but you can find them on sale often at Michaels or use a coupon). I placed the garland on top and used the evergreen “wire” to wrap the garland on top. Try to inter-weave the two “greens” so that it looks nice and full and even.

I put a string of 100 lights on each….done! Looks pretty all lite up at night and makes a lot more of a statement.
