I was probably 7. I had the most amazing Christmas.

(apparently there was a 2 for 1 special on “bowl” cuts for most of my childhood…moving on…..;)

A huge chalkboard….it was real slate…just like our school had.. (handmade by my dad)…long pieces of chalk…untouched and ready for a full day of “school” play.

I remember a dish set that was stainless steel. I loved the sound it made…so real. There was also a “percolating” coffee maker that I could actually put water in and then it would bubble and look like coffee…and the water would stream out into the pot. It was the coolest thing in the world to me.

Hours upon hours of creative play. I would play school, kitchen, mommies (my name was always Samantha), vet, grocery….the list goes on…

Just play. There’s not an app for that ;)

sigh…..

What was your favorite childhood toy? Do tell….

Have a wonderful Sunday ;)
