Remember when you were in grade school…and it was field trip day. So exciting! You could sit with you bff on the bus…you were going to a new exciting place…you got a special bagged lunch. It was all very very exciting. When was the last time you went somewhere new…and you gave yourself an hour or so to explore? I love finding a new spot….or telling you about a spot. The Crazy Daisy is a local Antique mall and it is one of my favorites. I never walk out empty handed. There are so many treasures…but here are just a few that caught my eye.
The Crazy Daisy is located in Louisville, KY on 1430 Mellwood Ave. It is easy to find…but it may be off your beaten path….You won’t be sorry that you spent the time to go. I promise. My mission on this trip was to find some things for the new office and guest space.
I walked out spending $70….I found a old barn door (that will become a desk top)…a small cart that will be a table for between two reading chairs…and a desk organizer from the 40’s.
I LOVE these wood pieces…..it would make a great table….or put some rollers on it and use it as a plant stand…a lazy susan. They were only $20. Super heavy too!
In the basement there is a “rough room” where they sell pieces that need a little extra love. I found this cart in the rough room. It was only $28…works great. One of the wheels is a bit worn…but it still rolls and stands up great. I love pieces that have already been “loved” a bit…and this one will be perfect in Bill’s office. He took one look at it and thought of JR Ewing in Dallas…a place for “brown water” :) Ha!
So…this weekend…go visit the Crazy Daisy and see what you find. If you haven’t been antiquing before…just be patient. You never know you may find.
Not a sponsored post…I asked permission to share photos with you because I love this store.
Oh boo I wish I had known about this place while I lived in Louisville. I could easily find a place for all of those things!! I may have to visit Crazy Daisy while I am up there in October.
I used to know of and thoroughly enjoy visiting places like that but they no longer exist :-(. Gotta google some new haunts and re-establish my fiscal discipline! I could have spent a fortune in that store, no wonder you love it. The phone pre-dial, priceless. My kids have never seen a rotary dial and that one predates me! I would have fought you for the barn door.
