Thanks so much for the kind words about the Rachel Ray show calling! Not sure what will come of it…but I will keep you posted!
Also, foyer remodeling is just about done! Painters are here today!! Can’t wait to show pictures!!! Ok…onto a new soup…this is soup is more like a chowder…which I love! Fabulous paired with a favorite salad and some crunchy french bread!

This soup is so easy…and so yummy…you can thank me later :) With all the snow and wind and rain—it is nice to have a good hearty warm soup at the end of the day!

(having fun with the collage setting on Picasa lately!!) I know that some readers has asked  to have all the recipe together and then the pics…that way you can cut and paste the recipe and print :)

Here’s what ya need…
6 oz box Uncle Bens wild rice mix
3.T butter
1 small onion, chopped
1 C chopped celery
3T flour
salt and pepper to taste
1 Can chicken broth (about 12 oz)
2 C milk
2 C diced cooked chicken

  1. Prepare rice and set aside
  2. Melt butter in a large pot over medium, add 1T flour, stir 2 minutes. Add onion and celery and saute 5 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add broth and milk and stir until thickens. If you would like it more thick…add in a bit more flour.
  4. Add rice and chicken and allow to heat through. Enjoy!

Awesomeness!
