This past month has been a blur. Lots going on here….some really good and some not so good. We have lots of really fun adventures ahead of us. I have had some trouble finding the words lately for this little blog. That happens sometimes…so I just remain patient and let it roll. Truth is….my creativity has been a bit trapped lately. My dad was recently diagnosed with cancer. The day before he and my mom were to leave to fix up the beach house….he woke up and discovered blood in his urine. I am proud of him for not ignoring it. He went to the Dr. that day and had a scan done. The following day he was told there was a tumor on his bladder. He is told that his past years of smoking is most likely the cause. (even though he quit 9 years ago.) Lesson here, listen to your body…do what it is telling you…and never smoke. And if you do…stop it right now. He went in for surgery this past Thursday to have the tumor removed. We will know more soon of what he will have to do next.
I ask for your prayers. I ask you to be patient with me…and this little blog. There are many balls in the air right now…and I am trying my best to juggle all of them. Sharing on here at CleverlyInspired is my therapy…it is my joy and that will not change. But with spring break around the corner….I am taking a break for a bit.
I will be back soon…but in the meantime….please visit the project gallery and poke around a bit…make yourself at home:) Follow along on my other social channels….I am sure I will be snapping pictures:)
Also…be sure to visit me over on Tatertot’s and Jello. (my post should run this weekend…and it is a yummy one!) I am thrilled to be a 2014 contributor!! Jen is simply one of the kindest and true-hearted bloggers (not to mention a blogging superstar) I have ever virtually met:) 4 years ago…on my very first post…she was my very first comment. I have been a fan of hers every since…and I am so touched that she is a fan of mine:) xoxo JEN!!

Praying for your Dad and your family.
So sorry to hear about your Dad, Tracie. Here’s hoping he fully recovers and beats it. Regular life comes to a bit of a standstill when you get that kind of news. My Dad went through 2 bouts of prostate cancer and I’m happy to report that he beat it. Just take care of yourself and your family and enjoy spring break. Don’t worry about your readers. We’ll be here waiting for you whenever you get back to us. Wishing your family all the best.
xoxo :)
I will be keeping your Dad and your family in my prayers. Know that there are a lot of people who will be thinking of you to give you the strength to get through this difficult time.
I’m so glad your dad went to see a doctor right away. Will be sending positive thoughts your way. Pat
So sorry to hear about your Dad. Although we have never met, from following your blog for the past several years, I sense how close-knit your family is (as is mine), so my heart goes out to you. I will keep your Dad in my thoughts and will send positive vibes your way. Whenever you’re ready to post, we’ll be here waiting.
Best,
Amanda
Cannot thank you enough for your good vibes:) xo
Hi my friend – So sorry to hear about your dad. I am glad that he listened to his body and sought medical help stat! Hopefully everything is looking up with his health from here.
Enjoy your break! I think we all need one from time to time and, especially with everything you have going on, now seems like a time for you!
Hi Tracie. I just ran across your blog and saw this post. My heart stopped for a second. You see, my dad was diagnosed with bladder cancer in February. We just got word last week that he has stage IV bladder cancer and it can’t be fixed. We heard the words….”We will do chemo to prolong his life.” “He will die from this.” “You have 1 to 1 1/2 years left.” We are believing in a miracle and many more years having him, but some days the sadness creeps in. I would love to hear more about your dad and how he’s doing. I’m praying for him and for you. I know first hand how hard this is. Email me any time. Caryn
I am so so sorry for you and your family. It is heartbreaking to hear news like this….I pray that your dad can heal. My dad’s cancer was diagnosed as non-invasive stage 1…so his cancer was located just on the surface of the bladder and they were able to remove it. He will or course have to keep getting checked and he will be having another surgery later in May to begin to heal the bladder from the inside. I will be praying for you and your dad. xo
