What can’t you do with Duck® Brand tape?? Remember when it came in one boring shade of gray? Not anymore my friends. There are a rainbow of colors and patterns to pick from now…and the possibilities are endless. I was recently asked by Duck® brand to think up a fun holiday project. This “pinecone”ornament was created using the silver and gold Duck Tape®. It was a hard choice though….they sent me a box full of all patterns and colors….it was creativity overload! So many ideas….I may have to post another soon :)

I cut strips of tape and folded them together lengthwise….leaving the edge sticky. This is what will stick to the ornament. Scallop cut the other edge. Start from the bottom and secure the tape to the ball. I kept my seam in the back so they all lined up together. Repeat the pattern using the silver and gold tape.

You can make a little “ribbon” our of the tape to place on the top. Fun huh!! My kids had a blast thinking up some other projects….I will share some more soon.

Be sure to visit Duck® brand on facebook where you can see even more creative uses for Duck Tape®. I can’t wait to see what you create :) Have fun!

  8. This is so cool. I just love Duck (duct) tape. As a former long haul truck driver I called it my 100 mph tape. It can fix anything (I have a coffee mug that says “I can fix anything, where’s my duct tape.” To be able to use it in such a creative way, I just have to try this for my tree next year… maybe I’ll make a few for family and friends too!
