No, no, no….not that kind of expecting—but I got your attention huh!?! I have been looking at new cameras to replace by tried and true Fuji Finepix (which is about 7 years old). I really love my camera….it has taken most of the pictures on this blog…along with my little nikon coolpix…which is also a fabulous compact camera.
My Fuji is on it’s finally leg…the battery door won’t stay closed unless the tripod screw is on…among some other small issues. I have bought 2 cameras within the past year…only to have returned them a few days after–not loving it as much as my fuji. I have been reading reviews…watching youtubes….you name it I have read it!
I knew I had to make a commitment to a new camera (it is almost like picking a friend to me…I needed to get it right!)
So I have decided on….
Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm lens….and the 200mm lens….JOY! I am expected her to arrive any day now…

Isn’t she pretty??? I have saved up for her for awhile now…and I can proudly say..she’s mine! I went with Nikon because of my success with the coolpix–and the controls and language is similar—although soooo  many fun things to play with on this one! I love the compact body on it….but yet so much versatility. I love the HD video ability. I love the high ISO sensitivity (and the large sensor that makes for crisp clear shots)….I love so many things about it (been studying for awhile!)…I could go on and on! I am so excited!
Now I will be saving the rainy day fund for some more fun lens ;)
Sharing pictures is one of the things I love most about this blog. I studied photography in college and I have had a passion for it ever since my dad let me use his Canon 35mm. Everything about it fascinates me…and I can’t wait to share more pictures with you ;)
