Linus was my inspiration for this little wall hanging I came up with. I wanted something to hang right behind the manager scene…and I thought those words would be perfect.

“Fear not, for behold, I bring unto you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you was born this day a Savior.” (can’t you hear little Linus saying it…so sweet and true)

I took a piece of muslin 19 long by 12 wide. I cut it with pinking shears. Iron it flat.

You will need one piece of Avery t-shirt transfer (for light material)

Then I printed the saying (French Script, 72 size) I centered the text on the page. Then print a test sheet on a plain piece of paper so you are happy with the size. When you are ready to print, place the transfer paper in the printer. When you go to print—first click print options and be sure to print in mirror image.

Flip the transfer paper onto the piece of muslin and center your design. You will need a hot iron and you need to iron on a flat hard surface that ISN”T a ironing board. I use my sewing table. You need to apply two hands when you iron (lots of pressure) and go over the design for about 40 seconds.

Be sure to apply lots of pressure.

DON”T peel it until it cools off for at least 5 minutes—it will not come off right. After you let it cool, peel off at a corner and your text will be right side facing up on your muslin.

Slowly peel back until all your paper is peeled off. Cool huh!!!

Get a dowel rod ( at Michaels….by all the wood crafts) I had to cut my to the right length.

I just used hot glue—and seamed up the top for the dowel rod to go through. 

Found some fabulous black ric-rack trim that was large and I liked it with the black text. I hot glued it onto the bottom…and I glue it on the top so that it could hold up the dowel rod.
