Today I am going to show you an easy “HOW TO” on painting horizontal stripes for a focal wall in your living room.
If you live in a cozy apartment like I do where ALL the walls are white, the doors are white, the crown molding is white, the ceiling is white, the window blinds are white, etc…you may decide you need to paint a focal wall like I did. This will add some color without being overwhelming…choose a color that is warm and that coordinates with your furniture (I chose Green).

Before–boring white walls |
Measure how far apart you want the stripes and start taping |
Then you can either alternate paint colors with the natural wall color to have some colored stripes and some white stripes |
Or you can paint it all green and then pull off the tape for instant white stripes |
I know, now I need some help with my decor…but for now this is functional so it’s how it is going to stay |
