So, last week when we were soaking in the last little bit of summer time we took a few mornings and worked on organizing the beach house storage room and new rec space. I told you briefly about this space last couple months…we are moving right along…..
Hey all! Hope your weekend was a success! Homearama opened up on Saturday to rave reviews. I cannot thank you enough for stopping by and saying hello! Meeting some “blog fans” in person was a hug thrill for me. I loved hearing your stories about your favorite post and your reviews of the home. Thank you for being so supportive! My hubs was the door greeter yesterday—he is a gem I tell you…a complete gem:) I will be out at the show house on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday this week….along with some hours during the weekend. I hope to see you at house #15 when you visit:)
Hope your summer is off to a great start! My kiddos are working and having fun….and spending much too much time on electronics. I have instituted gin rummy on the nights we are all just hanging out….what do you do in your house to curb the electronics? Seems like many of us struggle with that when the weather turns super hot….I need some new ideas so send them my way!
Hey guys! We are full steam ahead on operation “add the tiny bathroom” at the beach house. My dad is meeting with our contractor to go over the size and be sure we have enough room to fit what we want to fit. I wanted to share with you the items that I selected for this bathroom. Our goal here was to place a wall sink alongside a toilet in a small four by four corner in the guest bedroom. What is there right now is a long 6 foot by 2 foot closet. Since we are using most of that closet for this new bathroom we will be left with a small 2 foot space for shelving/clothing storage..which will be plenty. I wanted to share with you some of the products that I found to use in case you are looking to add a small bathroom in your own home.
Darn it was hard to leave the beach….I think I’d be happy living there for half the year. We had great family time…the kids played tennis and got along so nicely. The weather was a blissful 70 degrees except for a couple of days. We all came back recharged…which is the best feeling. We discovered some great hiking trails at the Carolina Beach State Park…which is literally 3 minutes from our house. Hubs and I both felt silly that we hadn’t taken advantage of this spectacular park on previous trips. The trails are gorgeous…lovely marina to launch a boat…camping sites….little beach on the bay…it was so picturesque. Stella loved the hikes…
