Chocolate Chip Whoopie Pie Recipe

Hey there! Thanks for all your sweet words…yall are the best. I have decided to get back to basics with this little blog. I think in recent years I have become more concerned with putting content out there and less concerned with the quality of the content. I started this blog to catalogue recipes and ideas for my kids….so that someday when they are off living their life outside of this home…they will have all my recipes and thoughts at their finger tips. I am getting back to that mission. I may post less….but my hope is that when I do decide to post…that you may find it helpful and interesting too. Like I said a few weeks back….blogging has really changed in the past few years. I can admit that I was more concerned with “pinning” and sharing rather than concerned with what I posted was actually worth sharing. Thanks for sticking with me…and hopefully you will continue to pop in to see what I am up to:)

state of the blog….

Hey yall! Have I seemed preoccupied? I have been in a writing funk for sure….It is normal I suppose after a consecutive 7 years of blogging…too go through slumps and periods of disinterest. I think that blogging has changed so much in the past 3 years. There is some really great content out there…and then there is also some folks just repeating what has been out there for a long time. I find myself in a bit of a quandary….do I take a break or do I muddle through? My mission is to share clever ideas—ideas that you couldn’t find somewhere else—unique projects and recipes—and I still love doing those things and sharing them. Lately it seems I haven’t had any really fun ideas to share….my mojo is low! It happens…and I know something will spark me again…and I will want to share. When I started blogging in 2010, it was before pinterest, smartphones, Facebook was young, no instagram….Now it seems there are so many sources to gather inspirations—blogs are so old school. Now when you blog…you have to be diligent about sharing it everywhere just to be heard. One blog post takes about 3 hours beginning to end…photos, story, editing, sharing….it is a lot more work than most people think. I still love it….I just don’t have much to share right now. I hate to publish a post and think to myself “that post is kind of lame…” that is a sucky feeling. I always want to be respectful of your time. If I don’t feel like something is worth reading than it should never be published. So if it seems a bit quiet over here…just know that I will be here when something is interesting and worth sharing. I don’t want to ever just “post to get a post out”. I hope you understand and stick with me;)

In the meantime, if you are looking for inspiration…start with this post that started this little blog….My favorite DIY Art piece.

No sew fall pillows for less than $5

Too many frickin pillows….seriously the pillows are going to take over our house. I was in a desperate need to clean up and declutter this week and these random pillows almost made their way to Goodwill. Instead, I came up with another purpose for them on the front porch. If you don’t have any random pillows laying around…and you want to make some of these for your front porch, check the local garage sales this weekend—I am sure you will find something that will be good enough to recover for the porch. no sew fall pillows @cleverlyinspired (2)

#homearamahouse15 Bedrooms

Well….we have reached the end of the Homearama tour! Finally have made it to the remaining bedrooms of the showhouse that I worked on this summer with Mark Simpson Builders. If you are just now catching this, be sure to look on the sidebar for a complete wrap up of the posts that I have shared. This home has 3 full bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms along with a extra wide hallway and a gaming space. This home has a nice separation of space for the kids and parents. Everyone has their own little space….#homearamahouse15 (1)
