Seriously….Memorial Day…whoa….summer snuck up for sure this year. Kids are out of school and the alarms clocks are off (for most of us in the house:) I had a busy week finalizing some details on the Homearama house… (by the way….the house I am working on is Number 15….say that to yourself and get in it your brain ok! Come and see me at house #15!!!;) I met with the fine folks at Ethan Allen…who are complete gems….gems I tell ya…I had a “pretty woman” moment this week. They showed me the furniture plans for the Homearama rooms…..oh my goodness….it is going to be so stinkin awesome!
I found these super sweet FREE printable at Burlap and Blue.com. I framed a few for grad gifts this year….along with some “diploma” money….topped off with a cardstock cap of course;)
Well the sun finally came out and showed it’s face yesterday here in the Bluegrass….praise God! I hope it was pretty where you live. I’m hoping that we have finally ended the rainy season here in Kentucky. It really does start to affect your mood when every day it’s cold and rainy. I could never do Seattle.
The graduation festivities were so lovely this past weekend. Friday we celebrated two of our friend’s sons graduations and yesterday with my nephew’s (sorry if my apostrophes are wrong there…#aintnobodygottimeforthat;) The tables were a big hit…
…. and now all of those things will be used at other peoples parties in the coming weeks. It’s nice to just pass it on…. it’ll get used a bunch!

Whenever somebody asked me where I’m from…. I have a big long answer. We moved a few times growing up which gave me the opportunity to experience a few different towns while I was young along with a few different schools. It definitely builds character and it definitely shows you who your true friends are when they can keep up with you through every move. I have lived in Philadelphia where my parents were actually born and raised and where much of my family still lives and then we move to Pittsburgh for about 3 years. A little town outside of Pittsburgh called Uniontown. And then my dad was offered a job outside of Milwaukee and a little town called Brookfield where I spent the remainder of 7th and 8th grade along with high school until I moved to Dayton, Ohio where I went to college. So my family and I know a thing or two about moving and how to do it efficiently. Not to mention that since I’ve lived in Louisville and started my own family we have moved into 4 different homes. You get to be pretty efficient if you’ve done it a few times so I wanted to share with you some of my moving tips that have helped in the past.
My friends at CORT Furniture Rental wanted me to share with you some tips along with some really great ideas for furniture if you have a temporary move ahead of you. If you may be moving somewhere that is not permanent….maybe you’ll be in a new town for 6 months to a year….they would love you to consider to rent furniture instead of schlepping everything you own across country. Less schlepping=awesomesauce. Here are some of my moving tips that might help you out this summer if you’re planning a big move….Share your tips on this post to help others!!
Hey y’all! Wanted to pop in and just finish off the posts that I was doing about Jack’s graduation party. I have told you that I was helping to put together some decorations for my nephew’s High School graduation this year. It has been so much fun finding unique projects on Pinterest and through other bloggers. I shared with you a few weeks back the Hat Card Box that I made. I also shared the chalkboard and I wanted to give you an idea of what else was going to go on the tables and a few other unique ideas that you might like to use for your own graduation celebrations.
Hey gals…and guys…:) Holy moly it is cold out…where the heck is SPRING?? We are probably going to skip right to summer. We had a low key weekend which was great:) This is my kiddos last week of school…they take exams next week…and become JUNIORS…WHAT!?!?! Seriously can NOT believe I will have 2 JUNIORS in high school. Maybe that is why everyone in our house has puppy fever…that’s right…we are in talks with Stella’s Aunty Trisha (aka Stella’s breeder) about her next litter. We may be crazy….it is a firm possibility. I will keep you posted:)
