warning….super randomness ahead….
Summer post are sketchy at best—those readers who have been with me for the past 7 years (hold moly cannoli—7 years of blogging…I’m ancient….anywho) know that I post when I can post….I worry a lot less about any sort of schedule—and this summer is no different. I am slowing down…enjoying the pace of homework free/ activity free days and I am loving it.
I was reading my Country Living magazine (yes, the paper kind…I still love flipping the pages of an actual magazine…) and I cam across this month’s free cross point download. Did you know that they have one every month? I have never cross pointed but have always wanted to try it. I downloaded the sweet little glass of lemonade—transferred it to the fabric with colored pencils. It is so zen….have you every tried cross point? I encourage you…try…makes your brain work:)
Seriously….Memorial Day…whoa….summer snuck up for sure this year. Kids are out of school and the alarms clocks are off (for most of us in the house:) I had a busy week finalizing some details on the Homearama house… (by the way….the house I am working on is Number 15….say that to yourself and get in it your brain ok! Come and see me at house #15!!!;) I met with the fine folks at Ethan Allen…who are complete gems….gems I tell ya…I had a “pretty woman” moment this week. They showed me the furniture plans for the Homearama rooms…..oh my goodness….it is going to be so stinkin awesome!
I found these super sweet FREE printable at Burlap and Blue.com. I framed a few for grad gifts this year….along with some “diploma” money….topped off with a cardstock cap of course;)
Goodness gracious is May like the new December? It seems so busy to me. Teacher appreciation, graduation parties, and year end parties, exams just seem so busy! I am so looking forward to lazy-no-alarm-clock days of summer. I’m trying to get as much as I can done for Homearama so that there is no last-minute rushing and everything is in it’s place. I’m working on a few DIY artwork for the home. I’m hoping to light up social media world with this house….and I’m praying that you guys will help me with that! I hope that you are having a good end of school year and have a great weekend ahead.
Have you tried this pb2 product?
Hey guys thank you for your patience with these sponsored posts lately. Sometimes they have to go back to back and I appreciate your patience! I hope that I make them really fun to read and give you ideas about things you otherwise wouldn’t know about:)
It’s been a busy week here with the Derby! I am really excited to go this year. My friends scored some awesome tickets…should be a great day at the track:)
My parents are on their way to the beach tomorrow to enjoy a couple weeks in paradise. Of course my dad loves a good project and he will be projecting for me while they are there. They is also going to install a new cabinet above our stove. Currently we have a small wall cabinet along with a vent that basically just recirculates the air. We don’t use the vent and so we thought it would be a better use of space to do a large plate rack with some shelving. My dad never ceases to amaze me and has built a cabinet that will fit right in this spot have room for plenty of plates along with both above and underneath he put some cup hooks. It is so much storage and it’s so much more than what we have right now. They may also put a fresh coat of paint on the wall…going for Topsail by Sherwin Williams…a nice watery blue

Check out all the other projects that we have completed already:)
Hey hey….happy Friday! Whoot! Had a great time last night catching up with some friends….it had been awhile and it was so good to laugh it up with them. Hope you have some fabulous weekend plans…or doing nothing—which is pretty high on my agenda:)
Wanted to share with you this really great app that I have been using for about a year. It is called Acorn. It is basically a “round up” app. Whenever you purchase something with the linked up checking accounts (I also link up my paypal card to it)….the service will round up and invest that money. I also invest a lump sum ($50ish buck a month) to just squirrel away some extra cash. My funds are pretty aggressive…and the have done pretty well for the most part. It is a nice way to earn a bit more than a regular savings account—maybe save up for a vacation or new furniture….before you know it you will have enough. Here is link to learn more…..
