5 for the road: time to light the lights

I toggle back and forth from Fozzie Bear…to Animal…to Kermit….My favorite Muppet really depends on my mood….but I know this…I love them all and I am so freaking excited that they will be back on television on Sept. 22rd. Were you a fan? I remember begging my mom to stay up until 8:00 to watch the show. I think the great thing about the Muppets is that there is humor for every age….it is always funny. We rarely watch TV anymore…but I know that we will all be watching this new Muppet show together….

My dad recently refinished a table that my parents have had for 40 years. It is that one piece of furniture that when my parents to pass away my brothers and I will have to share it somehow. There was many a concert that my brother and I performed on that table. Do you remember Donny and Marie? We had the 8-track and it was on complete repeat all the time. Way to go Dad! He recommends Minwax stain and poly….

I have been realllllly busy with design work lately. It is funny how those things go in cycles. The house that I worked on with our builder in Norton Commons is sold and we have been pulling together the finishing touches with the homeowners. The best part about that is that our taste pair up really well—it is really fun watching it become a home. I worked on a unique treatment for their kitchen island. I will be sharing the tutorial and final pics soon….but for now…it is simply and completely and totally awesomesauce….and it isn’t even finished yet!!wood stained island @cleverlyinspired

I recently ordered one of these rain jackets for fall. I didn’t think the price was too bad….and you can customize your colors. I did a green jacket and white letters (for my son’s basketball team colors:)Fullscreen capture 9172015 84805 AM

A friends laundry room is all that and a bag of chips. She and her hubs have some pretty cool taste. I love the repurpose of these stadium bleacher seats…a perfect spot to put on your boots;)
