Sometimes….ok…all the time…I mention something to my honey and he looks at me and thinks…”where do you come up with these ideas…”…then I say things like houzz.com and pinterest…and house beautiful..and such…and he says…”if you like it I am sure I will too…”. He’s a gem…a real peach…wouldn’t trade him for all the tea in China (even though I am not a tea drinker…you get the point).
He trusts me when it comes to such “decorating” decisions. I think one reason he trusts me so much is because I am very decisive. If I like something…I love it. No ifs, ands, or buts. I am sold. White wash pine floors had me at hello. I adore the casual, warm, classic style it brings to a room. I love that it can be modern if you want or traditional… Is is a commitment? Yes. Is it a bit of a risk? I suppose. But I love it all…and I jump in with both feet.

I love light colored wood floors. They look amazing. Mine is light but not white washed and I wish it was.
We have light colored floors right now, although not white washed. I really like light or super dark. Not a fan of the in between.
