Custom length curtains for less

I recently shared this over at CSI project and I wanted you to see it too.  Here is a super easy way to make an inexpensive store bought curtain look a lot more custom. I bought these curtains on clearance at Target. I think they were maybe $7 each.

The only trouble was they were about 18 inches too short. My solution was to buy one yard of fabric….cut it in half and sew it to the bottom of my curtains.

I lined the back of the fabric…pinned it to the bottom of the curtain and sewed a straight stitch. It makes the curtains feel a bit more weighted at the bottom too!

It is a really easy way to make some custom length curtains….without the expense :)

Great idea! I have just finished renovating the kids playroom and was about to put the curtains back up when I saw this post. I’m going to upgrade them a little with some fabric I have in my stash. Thanks for the inspiration :)
