I thought that this would be a fun time to reveal the Christmas mantle! Our bellies are all full of turkey…the holiday spirit is in the air…(is that what I smell…or something else;) anywho…I wanted to show you what I have done to our fireplace and mantle….

Some fun sparkly garland ( I used this last year in the Dining room..) I wanted to go with the color scheme of all white and silver. I haven’t done that before and I love how it turned out!

The wrought iron fence part has been apart of mantle scenes before…and I really wanted to bring it back. I love this fence part. It is original and vintage and I love it! I decided to use my old ice skates and secure them to the fence. I also placed some more fun sparkly garland and white lights. Can I use the word sparkly one more time…yes, sparkly….
I found these 2 large vases at Homegoods and they are perfect to fill up with some silver ornaments and “snow”…..On the base of the mantle I places white lights and extra sparkle garland. The skates have a special tulle bow!
But I think the most fun I had with this was putting these small mirrors up with some sticky tack. Just a little bit on the back and they stick up there until I want to take them down. Love it! I used one package of mirrors (Michaels) They all shimmer at night…ohhhh ahhhhhh ohhhhh ahhhhh (it doesn’t take much to completely make my day!)
And you are remembering correctly…the fireplace wall got a fresh coat of white paint. I had been toying with painting that wall white ever since I white washed the brick. It really looks so fresh now! Everything on the mantle just pops!!

“Walkin in a winter wonderland…”
