We worked this past weekend on the foyer….we are LOVING it so far!!! FYI…to see original post it is here…all credit for this idea goes to Centsational Girl
My cute trim carpenter….hard at work…
He keeps in pencil handy….on his ballcap….a good tip I thought I should share…

Lookin good right?!?! Loving it!

Me using the brad-nail…Emily was laughing…hence the picture shaking….

As we were working in this room we noticed a light plate that we must have roughed in when we built. We have lived here 7 years in May…totally forgot about this light rough in. It was like we discovered gold! So excited to have more light in the hallway….so of course…I went out and bought a light!
Perfect for highlighting some art on the wall!!
My “storyboard”….I know I am a dork ;)

Is it possible to love a light too much? Guilty!! (cue goofy laugh…)

It is like our house always wanted this board and batten trim–and it is singing!

It is the little things in life that should make you the happiest…right!?! Life is way to short to not appreciate those little things…stop and look around…or you may just miss it (thanks Ferris B for that line) All that from a little light ;)

  3. Oh I see you added a shelf-cap thing to your board & batten… when we did ours I was debating on whether to do it or not (and we didn't). It will look great I'm sure and you can prop things up on it too. Well done!

  4. Wow! Love it. The light is BEAUTIFUL! I want one!

  5. It looks fabulous! I'd love to do this in our kid's room but who knows where we'll be living when that occurs! lol Can't wait to see the finished result!

  6. I can see why you would be in love with that chandelier…IT IS GORGEOUS. It's making me happy just looking at it and it's not even in my house. Beautiful job…great look.

  7. Stopping by from Thrifty Chick to say hi. This looks like a great and doable project. We have installed picture frame molding but not the boards like you did. Love the look.
