New Meal Monday–Flat Iron Steak

It is always a value—about $6 for a decent size of beef to feed a family of 4 easily. It is flavorful. It is quick and it is so easy to prepare! Great way to surprise your family with something beside chicken ;)
This is what the package looks like —hard to make raw beef photograph well, just sayin…
In a pie dish, combine 1/3 olive oil, 2 Tablespoon soy sauce, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 clove of garlic minced. Salt and pepper to taste.
Cut the steak in half turn the steak over—getting marinade all over steak. Set aside at room temperature for 30 minutes. It is best to cook steak when it comes to room temp—cooks much more evenly.
Grill either under a high broiler (4 minutes each side) take out and let rest 5 minutes. If you are grilling outside direct heat–medium high….3 minutes on each side. Let rest….
