A dear friend of mine (who is a neighbor too…) introduced this little idea to me about 6 years ago. Her Dad actually started it I believe. He would show up and leave little presents every day beginning with the 12th day prior to Christmas. Small gifts and trinkets are all you need….it is the anticipation that is the best! Thanks Kelly and to her dad Charlie for introducing this tradition to me….I love it and our kids look forward to it every year!!

Little trinkets from the dollar spot…..
A cute litte tag to match….
I got the holder at goodwill…it was $3 and it was gold. I sprayed a coat of primer on it and then white paint.

I've done this in past years too! Not everything was a actual gift though. I included a day of making cookies, a date to the movies, craft day, ….etc. Anything that my kids and I could do together that was a special bonding time. I would save the actual gifts for days when I knew we had a busy schedule.

Love this idea and way you do it!
